2U is a leading online program provider partnering with top universities to deliver accessible, high-quality online education. As the Product Manager, Data Technology, you will own the strategy and delivery of the data platform that powers insights for product, marketing, and operations.

Responsibilities

Define and own the product roadmap for the data technology platform.
Gather and prioritize requirements from data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business partners.
Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
Prioritize and manage the backlog; coordinate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Platform teams to ship reliable data pipelines and data models.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and privacy considerations are embedded in product design.
Measure impact using defined KPIs; iterate based on feedback and changing business needs.
Communicate product vision and progress to executives and stakeholders.

Requirements

5+ years of product management experience, preferably with data platforms or data infrastructure products.
Deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.
Experience collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts; ability to balance technical and business priorities.
Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with modern data stacks and data tooling (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field; advanced degree is a plus.

Nice to have

Experience in education technology or subscription-based business models.
Knowledge of Python or Spark is a plus.
