2U is a leading education technology company that partners with universities to deliver online degree programs. We are seeking a Director, Enterprise Sales (ZA) to lead and grow our enterprise sales efforts in South Africa.
Role Overview
The Director, Enterprise Sales (ZA) will build and execute a regional sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and represent 2U in the South African market. This role may lead a local sales team or operate as a senior, high-impact individual contributor, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to ensure client success from initial engagement through implementation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the South Africa enterprise sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify, pursue, and close strategic, multi-year deals with universities, education partners, and corporate clients.
- Build and manage a regional sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and report progress to leadership.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, and Product teams to tailor programs for the SA market.
- Lead, coach, and grow the local sales capability (or function as a senior individual contributor) to achieve top results.
- Represent 2U in client meetings and negotiations, ensuring successful onboarding and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 15+ years in enterprise software or education technology sales with a proven track record of closing large, complex deals.
- Strong track record in the South Africa market or the ability to develop regional presence quickly.
- Leadership and collaboration skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed within the region.
