2U is a leading education technology company partnering with universities to deliver online degree programs. The Business Intelligence Analyst III will help drive data-informed decisions across enrollment, student success, and operations from our Cape Town office.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics (enrollment, retention, revenue, student outcomes).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and data requirements.
Write and optimize SQL queries; build and maintain data models and data pipelines for analytics.
Develop and maintain dashboards in BI tools (Tableau and/or Power BI) and ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
Provide ad hoc analyses and reporting to support strategic decisions; present findings to stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior analysts as needed.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics.
Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
Excellent communication, storytelling with data, and ability to collaborate across teams.
Experience in higher education or a fast-paced tech environment is a plus.

About the role and location

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (on-site). This role is based in Cape Town; occasional travel may be required.
