Overview

2K is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable IT infrastructure. Based in Burnaby, BC, you will collaborate with engineering teams to build reliable systems for gaming platforms. This role focuses on deploying robust server environments, virtualization, cloud services, and automation to ensure high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure for development and production environments.
Administer servers (Linux and Windows Server), virtualization platforms (VMware or equivalent), and network services.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines (scripting in Bash/PowerShell).
Collaborate with software engineers, IT, security, and operations teams to define standards and ensure compliance.
Develop and maintain system documentation; participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of systems engineering, infrastructure, or a related role.
Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server administration.
Proficiency with virtualization (VMware or similar) and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with configuration-management tools.
Solid networking knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor's degree preferred; education optional.
