Senior Graphics Engineer - NBA 2K
2K is looking for a Senior Graphics Engineer to join the NBA 2K team in Novato, California. In this role you will design and optimize real-time rendering pipelines, implement high-fidelity shading, and collaborate with engineers, artists, and tools teams to deliver compelling basketball visuals across PC and consoles. You will own significant graphics features from concept through delivery, optimize performance, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize real-time rendering pipelines for sports environments
- Develop high-quality shaders and visuals
- Profile and optimize performance across PC and console platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features on schedule
- Mentor and review the work of junior graphics engineers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in C++
- Experience with real-time rendering, shading languages (HLSL/GLSL)
- Knowledge of graphics APIs (DirectX, Vulkan, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice-to-have
- Experience with NBA 2K engine or large-scale sports titles
- Familiarity with performance profiling tools and GPU architectures
