Role Overview

As a Game Localization Specialist at 2K in Tokyo, you will localize game content for the Japanese market, ensure terminology consistency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality translations.

Responsibilities

Localize in-game text, UI, subtitles, and narrative for the Japanese market.
Maintain and extend glossaries and style guides; ensure consistency across releases.
Coordinate with localization engineers, QA, and development teams to integrate translations.
Proofread and QA localized content and perform linguistic and functional testing.
Adhere to project timelines and quality standards in a fast-paced studio environment.

Requirements

Native-level fluency in Japanese; strong English communication skills.
Experience with video game localization and/or translation processes.
Familiarity with CAT tools and terminology management; ability to work with glossaries.
Attention to detail, strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Interest in video games and understanding of game narratives and user experience.
