Director of Game Science & Insights | Sports

2K is seeking a Director of Game Science & Insights for the Sports division in Dublin, Ireland. This senior leadership role will build and lead the data science and analytics programs that inform game development, live operations, and monetization for our sports titles. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Live Ops to define the analytics strategy, build scalable data pipelines, develop predictive models, and translate complex data into actionable insights to drive player engagement and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists and data engineers to deliver strategic analytics and insights for our sports games.
• Define and execute the analytics roadmap across product lifecycle, live operations, and monetization.
• Build predictive models to improve player engagement, retention, and revenue optimization.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to implement data-driven features and experiments.
• Communicate findings to executives and cross-functional teams and advocate for data-driven decision making.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and scalable analytics infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; 8+ years in data analytics; 4+ years in leadership or management.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R; experience with ML frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Expertise in experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference) and data visualization.
• Experience in gaming, interactive entertainment, or sports analytics is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead and mentor a diverse team.
