About the role

Director, Engineering - SDS Tech at 2K. Lead and mentor the SDS Tech engineering organization, setting technical direction and driving delivery across multiple squads. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform teams to build scalable, reliable software. Own hiring, performance management, and career development for engineers. Ensure engineering excellence, code quality, security, and operational reliability across platforms. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multiple engineering teams.
• Define and implement engineering strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Partner with Product and Design to deliver high quality software on schedule.
• Scale systems, improve reliability, and drive performance improvements.
• Recruit, coach, and develop engineering managers and individual contributors.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in software engineering leadership (Director level or above).
• Experience managing managers and large engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, SDLC, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
