2K is seeking a Senior Lead Mission Designer to craft engaging mission experiences for players. Based in Quebec, Canada, you will lead the mission design for our projects, shaping mission structure, pacing, objectives, and player choice, while collaborating with design, art, and engineering teams to realize creative visions. You will mentor junior designers and help maintain high quality and consistency across campaigns.

Role Overview

Lead mission design across projects, driving creative direction and collaborating across disciplines to deliver memorable gameplay moments.

Responsibilities

• Define mission concepts and objectives that fit the game’s systems and narrative
• Design mission layouts, pacing, encounters, checkpoints, and rewards
• Collaborate with the narrative team to weave story beats into gameplay
• Balance difficulty and player progression across missions
• Produce design documentation, prototypes, and feedback for iteration
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team planning

Qualifications

• Significant experience in game or level design with shipped titles
• Strong understanding of gameplay systems, combat pacing, and player onboarding
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
