  • Lead commercial activities for gas-fired assets, including structured PPAs, hedging strategies, tolling agreements, and merchant sales.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term market strategies to optimize plant revenue across ERCOT and PJM.
  • Partner with trading, asset management, and finance teams to align commercial strategies with company objectives.
  • Monitor market developments, price signals, and capacity markets to inform trading, scheduling, and dispatch strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with ERCOT, PJM, and FERC regulatory frameworks

PPA & Contract Negotiations:

  • Structure and negotiate PPAs and tolling agreements with utilities, C&I customers, and aggregators.
  • Ensure all contracts reflect operational capabilities, risk profiles, and regulatory requirements.

Upstream Gas Supply & Procurement

  • Lead strategic sourcing and procurement of natural gas for gas-fired generation assets, including peakers and CCGTs.
  • Negotiate and execute long-term gas supply agreements, pipeline transportation contracts, and storage arrangements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with gas marketers, producers, and pipeline operators.

Market & Risk Management:

  • Monitor power market developments, price signals, and capacity markets to inform trading and scheduling strategies.
  • Support compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks including ERCOT, PJM, and FERC standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with Development, Legal, Engineering, Operations, and Trading teams to support project delivery and market participation.
  • Translate commercial objectives into operational alignment across business units.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights on both power and gas markets to inform corporate strategy.

Team Leadership & Growth:

  • Build and lead a high-performance commercial team aligned with future growth in gas-fired generation.
  • Mentor and develop team members and foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, energy trading, or origination in the natural gas or power generation sectors.
