POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a hands-on, execution-driven leader to join our team as of Senior Director Construction Management – Data Center Infrastructure.This role will report up to the Head of Data Centers and oversee the construction of infrastructure necessary for large-scale, powered data center campuses across the U.S., with a strong emphasis on power delivery systems, substations, utilities, and site infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has spent time in the field, knows how to manage contractors, vendors, and owner’s reps, and can anticipate challenges before they arise. You’ll be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope — while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and execution.

This is a role for a builder and problem-solver — someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and takes pride in getting projects done right.

The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all phases of infrastructure constructionacross multiple large-scale powered land and data center development sites nationwide.
  • Manage RFPs, bid reviews, and contract negotiationsfor general contractors, civil firms, utility partners, and major equipment vendors.
  • Direct field execution— ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards are met across all active projects.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and construction documentstoidentifyrisks, resolve design conflicts, andanticipateissues before they escalate.
  • Lead contractor and vendor onboarding, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Change management-Ensurecost and schedule impacts are fullyvalidatedand justified.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teamssuch as development, energy, engineering, and finance to ensure construction aligns with project and businessobjectives.
  • Establish andmaintainproject controls— progress reporting, risk tracking, schedule management, and cost forecasting.
  • Develop and enforce consistent standardsfor construction management, reporting, and quality assurance across all sites.
  • Act as the company’s on-site leadwhenrequired,representingownership interests with contractors, utilities, and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of construction management experience, ideally in data centers, energy, utility, or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background ininfrastructure(power, substation, civil, utilities) construction management
  • Bonus: experience withpower generation projects, especiallynatural gasplantsor large electrical interconnection infrastructure.
  • Proventrack recordofdelivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of construction sequencing, design coordination, and field execution.
  • Ability toanticipateand prevent problemsthrough proactive planning and direct communication.
  • Strong commercial acumen — skilled at evaluating bids, negotiating with contractors, and managing change orders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel50–75%to project sites nationwide as needed.

Compensation: $210,000 - $250,000 salary
