Senior Software Engineer, AI Systems

• Integrate and
  optimize
  AI models (e.g., Azure Document Intelligence,
  Chat
  GPT
  -4
  )
  for extracting structured data.
   

• Lead development of services that support
  key business services
  .
   

• Design and implement scalable, secure APIs and event-driven systems

• Collaborate on AI experimentation: A/B testing, prompt engineering, 
  and
  accuracy tuning.

• Build production observability and performance monitoring for AI outputs.

• Partner with stakeholders to define rollout processes, success metrics, and cost-performance tradeoffs.

• Mentor engineers and contribute to system architecture decisions.
   

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of development experience 
• Proficiency in Python is required; familiarity with TypeScript is a plus

• Experience with
  AI systems
  and technology

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems
  ,
  especially for text extraction from images or documents
   

• Familiarity with AI tools or similar OCR/NLP platforms
  is a
  plus
   

• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of A/B testing, accuracy measurement, and cost-performance optimization for AI pipelines

• Bonus: experience working with healthcare compliance, or customer-facing AI workflows
   

• Expand the
  use of
  AI service 
   

• Deliver baseline performance monitoring, hallucination detection, and cost tracking

• Establish a reliable, scalable AI interface for multiple use cases (storefront
  s
  , backend, compliance)

• Contribute to 
  a
  roadmap for expanding into glasses prescriptions and reducing customer friction
   

• Hybrid schedule – typically 1–2 days/week onsite in Draper, UT

• On-call rotation to support 24/7 systems
