Why you want this job As our Merchandise Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring The Framery offers the right products, at the right time, in the right quantities to delight our customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams including buyers, planners, and visual merchandisers, you'll use data-driven insights to optimize our product assortment and inventory performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our customers' eyewear shopping experience while developing expertise in retail merchandising.
What you’ll do - Manage new product launches from planning through execution; ensure smooth and successful product launches by coordinating efforts across Merchandising, Creative, Operations, and Web teams
- Maintain product catalog data, including product attributes, descriptions, and pricing; keep all product data up-to-date and accurate so products display correctly on the website
- Support web merchandising efforts by updating collections, featured products, and sharing data-driven insights
- Update stock statuses and coordinate with the Purchasing team to provide visibility into future product plans so they can accurately and efficiently manage inventory levels
- Oversee the product photography and VTO asset digitization processes, then quality-check and organize the resulting imagery files across SharePoint and online filing systems
- Assist in product development efforts by maintaining physical frame and acetate sample libraries and organizing supplier data; proactively communicate with suppliers on outstanding requests to push the process forward
- Identify opportunities for product improvements by using customer feedback and staying up to date with industry trend
What you'll need - Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandise coordination, retail buying, or a similar role
- Solid understanding of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to make data-driven decisions
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management, product assortment, and other merchandising-related tasks
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, product assortment planning, and visual merchandising best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
